Agate with Alda

Took Aldabert on a short trip to visit a friend on the planet Agate yesterday.  Gabor wanted to stay home and get some rest since it was basically a run to deliver a special piece of art I'd picked up for her, and to just say hello.

Her grounds and home are beautiful, and Alda enjoys art as much as I do, so we had a really nice time, looking around and admiring her collection, as we waited for her to come home.

We finally went into her open pavilion home to sit by the fireplace and wait for her to come back. We enjoyed the antics of her holographic ferrets as we waited...

...and waited...

... and waited... until poor Alda fell asleep.

Even though the note had said that she would be back soon, I decided to wake Alda up and come on back home.

We left the sculpture we'd brought her out on the pavilion deck, wrote a note to say hello, and then got out of there after it was already pretty dark.

I'll go back in a couple of days to make sure everything's okay there, but she's often away.  I would not be the least concerned, if her note to me had not indicated that she'd expected to be back so soon. But artists often lose track of time, so I won't worry about her until I have more reason to.  I dropped Alda back off at his place and got home about two hours after I left, to find that Gabor had made a nice bolognese dinner for us!  My favorite!
